Insurance Required for Family Visit Visa
With the latest update from the Qatar Visa Department, visitors and foreign residents in Qatar are now required to have health insurance for the period of their stay in Qatar. The mandatory insurance premium for foreign residents and visitors is QAR 50 a month.

- Now click on the Visa option.
- Select Issue Visa under the Family Visit.
- Select New Application and enter all required details.
- Check the I agree on the validity of the data option and submit.
- On the next page, you need to upload the Visitor’s document. Upload all required documents and click the next button.
After this, it will take a few days to approve and verify your application. Once your application is approved you will receive the application number to process with visa fee payment. The visa payment can be processed with the same Metrash2 application.

Qatar Family Visit Visa Offline Application Process
- Download the Family Visit Visa application form for completing the application process from this link.
- Take a print of the downloaded form. Fill in the required information and complete it.
- Submit the completed form and all other required documents to the MOI Department Office in Qatar.
- The desk agent in the MOI department will check and approve the application and if needed he may ask you to meet the officer for application approval.
- If necessary the officer will schedule an interview and ask you some basic questions such as reason for going to Qatar etc.
- On the basis of the interview, the officer will give you a receipt.
- You can check your family visa status online from the link mentioned in the receipt. (Note: You will be able to check visa status only after two working days.)
- Once the application is approved you can submit the receipt to the MOI department.
- You will have to pay the visa fee after submitting the receipt. Visa payment processing can also be done on the Metrash2 app.

Family Visa for Qatar visit can be extended using online and offline methods. Read the quick steps below to extend or renew your Family Visit Visa in Qatar.
- Offline: Go to the Immigration Ministry office and submit your passport and return ticket. You will need to pay a fee of QAR 200 (USD 54) to extend your visa. The fee is QAR 200 per month. If you are extending visa for two months your total charges will be QAR 400 (USD 108).
